Frequently Asked Questions

What is a printing service?

A printing service produces physical printed items to a client's specification. JDM Printing Limited accepts paid print orders from businesses, trade buyers and private individuals — we manufacture the agreed items, then deliver or make them available for collection. Every order is quoted in advance, produced to the confirmed specification, and invoiced on completion.

What types of printing services are available?

We provide commercial print, short-run and specialist print, large format and display print, trade print supply, and bespoke one-off projects, which covers professional printing outside categories such as newspaper, book or printing. Full details are listed on our Services page.

How can I choose the right printing service for my needs?

Start by telling us what you need printed, the quantity required, your preferred material or finish (if known), and your delivery date. We will review your brief and recommend the most appropriate print method and specification. A written quote is then provided before any work begins — there is no obligation until you confirm the order

What file formats are commonly accepted by printing services?

For most print jobs we accept PDF (print-ready, with bleed and crop marks) as the preferred format. We can also work from AI, EPS, InDesign (IDML/INDD packaged) and high-resolution TIFF or PNG files depending on the job type. If your files are not print-ready, we can advise on what adjustments are needed — file correction or setup work may be chargeable and will be confirmed at quotation stage.

Can printing services help with design and layout?

JDM Printing Limited is a print production business — our core service is manufacturing finished printed items from approved artwork. If you already have print-ready files, we can proceed straight to quotation and production. If your files need adjustment or preparation for print, we can advise on requirements; any associated work will be quoted separately and agreed before we proceed.

What are the options for finishing?

Finishing options vary depending on the product and substrate. Common finishing services available (subject to specification and quotation) include cutting, folding, creasing, lamination (gloss or matt), binding and trimming. All finishing requirements must be confirmed at the quoting stage so that costs and lead times can be accurately reflected in your written quote.
